What we know as avant-garde seems to look back every time more to the past. An aim of finding new reinterpretations produces deeper and deeper researches into the most primary roots of electronic music, but actually that conflict between old and new is gone. Then, what does it mean a radical idea versus the image of a radical idea? Whether something is genuinely radical is so only if it hasn’t been done, or is difficult to do, or the results are uncertain, which is different from reproducing years later what the discipline learned to do in former times. The struggle to implement and to understand new work, as a valued act of conduct is very different from repeating a learned image.
This dichotomy founded the basics of Zosima's original tracks. The sequence continues with two OAKE's remixes and it is closed by a narrative of divine ectasy. A monstrous sensuality, that takes you to the end without noticing it.

Ontal - "Simulacron" - (Amok Tapes) Cassette $18 SGD
Ontal is a collaborative project which consists of Boris Brenecki and Darko Kolar, both hailing from Serbia. They focus on the bleakest, blackest apocalyptic techno and grinding mechanoid rhythms. Formed in November 2011 and influenced by numerous music genres, their sound can be described as an uncompromising, hard and intense assault. Breathing new life in the industrial strains of techno and the darker realms of the dancefloor and mind.
"Simulacron" is an extreme exercise in analog synth arpeggios and industrial drumming. In addition, the cassette comes with two exclusive sequences.

Bakunin Commando - "Bakunin Commando"(Amok Tapes) - Cassette $18 SGD
Bakunin Commando is a side project of Francesco Baudazzi (Violet Poison) debuting with this C26 cassette. Musically oriented on “1984-alike weird minimal/EBM tapes”, those squatter-alike 1980’s obscure home-tapes’s filth, those one that used to go along with fetish comics by Eric Stanton or Bill Ward. Key elements are nonsense vocals, nervous laughs, hysterical tiny screams and usage of distorted, damaged proto-EBM sequences that join 80’s Industrial-alike beats. Fetish dadaism - heavily sexual and deranged - punk nonsense and female domination are the main inspirations.

Through the eyes of Stefano K. Testa AKA Noumeno, anxiety shows its fractal nature, its ever-revealing DNA of contradictory micro-emotions, body stimuli and thoughts. Music is his way of processing and exposing this hypercomplexity, crudely exposing the feeling of being haunted by uncertainty and finite knowledge. Assembling piles of granular noisy harmonics as fuel for a rhythmicality on the verge of digital chaos, he uses sporadic bits of muffled melodies as a realistic revisiting of human horror. His gothic roots are turned into futuristic neuroses by bits of decomposed grime, industrial-like heaviness and saturated bass. Recorded through the course of several months in Berlin and Milan, it is Testa’s first ever release, also hosting a densely droning rework by Contort alumnus WSR.

Nene Hatun is a Berlin-based musician. Born in Istanbul, she grew up in Izmir, later going on to study piano and composition in Ankara, Tel Aviv and Stuttgart. Having grown up in Turkey, Nene Hatun displays a wealth of oriental and Anatolian influences, combining these with her own electronic, psychedelic and rhythmic modes of expression.
