January 2016 - What's the Fuzz?

cover
Dope Body - Kunk LP (Drag City) $45sgd
SOLD OUT (Available for Pre-Order)
Dope Body are a noise rock band hailing from Baltimore, Maryland. Formed in 2008, Kunk is the latest offering from the quartet, if you are unfamiliar with their earlier records this is a great introduction, production is more matured and heavy bass grooves are locked down and coupled with their signature guitar brutality that is as menacing and deranged as it is catchy. No putting a finger on this band, just a straight-up treat for anyone who is into bands like METZ, Health, Jesus Lizard or the fuzz and screeching feedback-laden alternative rock of the 90s.

of this mystical doom/psychadelic genre. 2 tracks each spanning about 20 minutes or so, good enough to get you there.
